Swedish Concordia Maritime has secured financing for the suezmax tanker Stena Supreme currently under construction at the South Korean shipbuilder Samsung. Delivery is set for the second quarter of 2012. Financing with a seven-year tenor, covering 70 per cent of the contract value, has been agreed on with the banks SEB and DnB NOR.
The vessel is part of a series of seven tankers designed by Stena Bulk and ordered in March 2010. The intention is to employ the tankers on the open market via the Stena Sonangol Suezmax Pool.
