North Europe’s container traffic to rise 10.8% in Q4, Global Port Tracker says

Container throughput of the ports in Northern Europe may grow at least by 10.8% in the fourth quarter of 2010 over the same period in 2009, the Global Port Tracker report said.

According to analysts, the total container trade volume of ports of Le Havre, Antwerp, Zeebryuge, Rotterdam, Bremen and Hamburg in Q4 will amount to 36.8 million TEUs. Inbound cargo volume at the ports of northern Europe is expected to increase 12.1% y-o-y by the end of 2010.

Imports flows through the ports of the Mediterranean and Black Sea regions by the end of this year could grow by 18.1% year-over-year.
