Net income of JSC Vanino Commercial Sea Port (Vanino Port) according to Russian Accounting Standards (RAS) declined for the first 9 months of 2010 by 21,2% compared with same period last year, to 94.988 million rubles, the company’s report said. Revenue of Vanino Port for the 3 quarters of the year amounted to 1,037,821,000 rubles (+3% yoy). The company said the main factor that had influenced the size of revenues from core activities of Vanino Port, was the change in the cargo nomenclature.
JSC Vanino Commercial Sea Port is the largest stevedore operating at the Port of Vanino of the Khabarovsk Krai (Territory). The Port’s terminals handle inbound cargoes to the north-eastern regions of Russia and exports to Japan, South Korea, China, Australia, USA and other countries of Asia Pacific Region. In 2009, freight turnover of the company fell 9.4% y-o-y to 6 million tons. Russian Federation holds a 73.33-percetn stake in Vanino Port JSC through the Federal Agency for Federal Property Management.
