USC, Transas to sign cooperation agreement in Moscow

United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) and Transas Group will sign a cooperation agreement during the 4th International Exhibition and Forum ‘Transport of Russia’ to be held on 17-20 November in Moscow, PortNews reported citing the press service of the USC. The document will be signed on October 19, at the showcase of USC in Manège.

The signing ceremony will be attended by vice-presidents of USC Dmitry Mironenko and Sergey Forafonov, head of production and technology of USC Valery Venkov, and representatives of shipping companies. President of USC Roman Trotsenko and President of the Transas Group Nikolai Lebedev are expected to sign the agreement.

The subject of cooperation under the agreement will be cooperation in the maintenance and development of scientific and industrial potential in the development and production of military and civil purposes. In addition, the parties plan to ensure the promotion on domestic and foreign markets high-tech industrial products. In the future they plan to develop a joint intellectual activity.

To achieve these objectives, the companies will assist each other in the organization of production on the Russian territory of modern navigation equipment, implement innovative solutions to create a new image of the domestic fleet and introduce new technologies in the construction and maintenance of ships, vessels and marine equipment.
United Shipbuilding Corporation, founded in 2007, incorporates three regional shipbuilding centers: JSC Western Shipbuilding Center (St. Petersburg), JSC Northern Center of Shipbuilding and Ship Repair (Severodvinsk), JSC Far Eastern Center of Shipbuilding and Ship Repair (Vladivostok), as well as leading marine design offices.
