ASCP posts for nine months a RUB16,6m net loss, vs income a year earlier

Net loss of JSC Arkhangelsk Sea Commercial Port (ASCP), according to Russian Accounting Standards (RAS) in January-September 2010 amounted to 16 million 604 thousand rubles against net income of $ 21 million 693 thousand rubles the company reported a year earlier.

JSC Arkhangelsk Sea Commercial Port is a diversified stevedoring company of the port of Arkhangelsk. The stevedore specializes in handling of general cargoes, cellulose, cardboard, containers, timber, metals, fertilizers, heavy-lift equipment and bulk cargo. Last year’s the company posted a year-over-year 23.7-percent decline in cargo turnover to 1 million 345.9 thousand tons.
