In January-October, the volume of coal, coke (charge and anthracite) increased by 22.8% to 2.56 million tons, nonferrous metal rose by 6.4% to 296,500 tons, while ferrous metals fell by 12% to 3,546,000 tons, petroleum products volume was down 0.2% to 5,866,900 tons. Container throughput at the port’s terminal slumped by 4.3 times to 1,681,000 TEUs.
Monthly cargo turnover at Nakhodka shrank by 3.2% this October to 1,160,000 tons.
Russian Port of Nakhodka is located in the northern Bay of Nakhodka. The year-round navigable Port is connected via Trans-Siberian Railroad to the railway network of Russia and Western Europe. In 2009, trade flows through Nakhodka Port amounted to over 15,760m tons.
