FCT posts 1mth TEU handled YTD

Year-to-date through November 11th, the First Container Terminal (FCT, St. Petersburg, part of National Container Company) has handled the millionth twenty-foot equivalent unit container, NCC’s press release said.

According to NCC, this is the second time the annual throughput of a Russian container terminal has hit a 1mth high and the first time the record volume was handled in November. Two years ago, the Terminal handled a millionth TEU on December 5th.

The millionth container was delivered to FCT by the Baltic Swan owned by SWAN CONTAINER LINE.

NCC’s portfolio of assets includes First Container Terminal (FCT, St. Petersburg), NUTEP Container Terminal (Novorossiysk), UKRTRANSCONTAINER Container Terminal (Ilyichevsk, Odessa region, Ukraine), Ust-Luga Container Terminal (Leningrad region) and Logistics Terminal (Shushary, St. Petersburg).
