Pirated Chinese ship with 29 crew bound for Somalia

The Panama-flagged Yuan Xiang ship (owner Ningbo Hongyuan Ship Management Ltd) was  seized by pirates Friday night in the Arabian Sea, state-run Xinhua News Agency reported today citing China Marine Rescue Center.

The ship with 29 crew members of China nationals was hijacked in a region that is not controlled by EU NAVFOR multinational forces.

According to Xinhua News Agency the pirates told the shipowner the ship is being taken to Somalia
