"We plan to increase in the port’s overall cargo handling a share of profitable goods - containers, vehicles, heavy-weight cargo and project cargo", Vladislav Pertsev said adding that the port’s throughput will exceed 6,2 million tons of cargo by this year-end.
"We are working to increase capacity of facilities for handling containerized cargo through modernization of existing terminals. By 2015, CPV’s containers throughput should reach 650,000 TEUs,” Mr. Pertsev said.
Besides, the CPV management plans to implement the project of a transport and logistics complex, grain terminal, to reconstruct the CPV’s bunker oil depot to boost the volume of transshipment of oil products to 1,5 million tons a year.
"We also have some plans for the development of the passenger terminal," Mr. Pertsev added.
