Port of Hirtshals, Gasnor deal on LNG bunker terminal

The Port of Hirtshals has entered a strategic agreement with Norwegian Gasnor for the establishment of an LNG bunkering terminal at Hirtshals. The terminal is planned to start operating in 2012 and may serve the two new cruise ferries being under construction for Fjord Line. Both ferries are able to use LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) as fuel. The gas bunker terminal at Hirtshals will be the first of its kind in Denmark.
