World’s largest cruise ship leaves German shipyard’s dock

Disney Dream, the largest cruise ship ever built in Germany left the dock of Papenburg-based shipyard Meyer-Werft, local media reported.

The 340-meter-long Disney Dream can accommodate 4,000 passengers and 1458 crew members. The vessel is equipped movie theaters, playgrounds, swimming pools and water slides.

The Disney Dream sets out for maiden voyage on January 26, 2011 from Port Canaveral in Florida. The ship operator is Disney Cruise Line.
