China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) plans to increase the share of foreign oil and gas production to 50% of overall volume of hydrocarbons production by 2015. Currently, the Chinese company operates in 29 countries. The most dynamic growth of the company's production is expected in Central Asia, Bloomberg reported.
PetroChina, an international arm of CNPC plans in the next decade to invest at least $ 60 billion in foreign assets takeovers. It is also planned to expand its presence in the refining sector, outside of China.
