The operator’s 6 articulated tugs and barges (ATBs) laden with fertilizer cargo and two Volga-Don class M/Vs set sail on the route Rostov-on-Don – Buzan and Ust-Donetsk – Port Kavkaz. Overall, during this year’s navigation 50 vessels of the shipping company will be engaged in transportation of cargo.
Also, Donrechflot projects for 2011 the increase of domestic traffic volume by 25% - up to 2 million tons. The operator, specializing largely in shipping fertilizer cargo and construction materials, plans to carry this year 1,5m tons of fertilizer, 250,000 tons of construction materials, 150,000 tons of metal and 100,000 tons of grain cargo. The company’s shipping lanes will pass through Rostov-on-Don, Ust-Donetsk, Buzan, Port Kavkaz, Togliatti, Solikamsk, Astrakhan, Kerch and Taganrog.
In 2010-2011, DonRechFlot invested 95 million rubles in renovation of its vessels. The entire fleet of the shipping company has undergone an annual survey of the Russian River Register, 10 dry cargo ships and 37 have been repaired at the company’s own dockyards.
