"I want to assure you that we will do our best to rectify the situation on the grain market to restore the supply in the coming years and improve the image of reliable partners", Vladimir Putin was quoted as saying.
Russian Prime Minister noted that last year the Russian-Jordanian trade declined, even in comparison with the crisis year 2009. "But even more regrettable is that this happened due to our fault, because we had stopped the grain supply ", Mr. Vladimir Putin said, adding that in previous two years Russian agriculture "faced with abnormal weather conditions."
The Russian Government banned grain exports from the country after the dry summer of 2010. According to the latest information from the Ministry of Agriculture, the embargo may be lifted in late September or in October this year.
