4 Russian ships banned from entering Canadian ports

The Quarantine Service of Canada banned from entering the ports of Canada ports 4 merchant vessels that arrived from the Far Eastern port of Russia, said the press service of Primorsk department of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor)

The ships were detained as the masters did not have the Russian phytosanitary certificate issued by the Primorsky Rosselkhoznadzor department. The vessels, without such a certificate when calling at the ports of the U.S., Canada, New Zealand and Australia, are allowed to enter the port after they pass the local phytosanitary inspection by conducted by the quarantine services of these countries at the outer anchorage.
