GPN Marine Bunker sets to double its fleet by 2020

GazPromNeft Marine Bunker (a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft) has planned a twofold increase of its fleet, to 20 bunkering tankers, the Company’s Marketing and Strategic Development office told PortNews. The newbuildings program is implemented in line with the oil company’s strategy for development of its bunkering division.

"We need to strengthen the competitive advantages, namely, to expand the fleet of our vessels and terminals", the office executives said.

In early 2011, the company put into service two new vessels - Gazpromneft Zuid and Gazpromneft Nord at the ports of St. Petersburg and Murmansk.

"We are not going to stop at this. A few more major acquisitions are expected until the end of this year. Besides, much attention will be given to the development of the terminals network," the company said.
 
Bunkering fleet of Gazpromneft Marine Bunker comprises 10 tankers. "All of them fully comply with MARPOL Convention", Andrey Vasilyev said earlier in an interview with PortNews.

Gazpromneft Marine Bunker was established in 2007 as a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft, The company specializes in bunker fuel supplies to sea and river vessels. The operator of GPN MB’s fleet is Gazpromneft Shipping.
