New AHTS breaks bollard pull record

EMAS Marine has taken delivery of ‘Lewek Fulmar’, the world’s first UT788 CD multi-functional ultra deep water anchor handling tug, supply and service vessel (AHTS), Baird Maritime reports.

The vessel was built at Drydocks World’s Singapore facility and has broken the world bollard pull record by an AHTS at 402.4 tonnes force, surpassing the previous record of 397 tonnes force.  

The 17,500kW ‘Lewek Fulmar’ is 93.4 metres long and has a moulded breadth of around 22 metres. Equipped with accommodation for 100, the vessel has a deck area of 815m2 and a speed of 18 knots.
