CMA CGM will apply a general rate increase on westbound cargo moving on its Epic Service from India to Europe and the Mediterranean, starting Aug. 14, Journal of Commerce reports.The French ocean carrier's rate increase will be $200 per 20-foot and $400 per 40-foot dry container.
The Epic is a fixed-day weekly service, calling Southampton, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Le Havre, Piraeus, Khor Fakkan, Jebel Ali, Port Qasim, Nhava Sheva (Jawaharlal Nehru), Mundra, Jeddah, Malta, Tangiers and back to Southampton.
