XCL enters the Latin America sector to offer feeder from Panama

X-PRESS Container Line (XCL), part of the X-Press Feeders Group, is entering the Latin America sector for the first time with two new feeder services backed by Hapag-Lloyd, said Alphaliner.

XCL, a British owned feeder line, of the Sea Consortium group is managed from Singapore and Geneva and offers weekly fixed day sailings among the Iberian ports of Bilbao, Lisbon, Leixoes and Vigo and all major north European, Baltic and Scandinavian ports, principally Le Havre, Thamesport, Dublin, Tilbury, Humber, Greenock, Southampton, Rotterdam, Gothenburg and Felixstowe.

XCL has now launched the Panama-Central America X-Press Service (PCX), using the 509-TEU Caribe Legend, and will soon launch a second service, the Panama-Venezuela X-Press, ensured in co-operation with Evergreen Line (PVX-CAS).

The PCX connects the Panamanian hub of Manzanillo to Puerto Cortes and Santo Tomas de Castilla on a weekly basis. The CAS-PVX will connect Manzanillo and Colon-Coco Solo to Curacao, La Guaira and Puerto Cabello. It will start in two weeks and will offer weekly sailings.
