The move comes only four months after they split their original CPX loop into two loops.
The two carriers had split their joint loop in anticipation of higher volumes, adding a weekly capacity of about 2,750 20-foot equivalent units to the trade.
The newly combined CPX service will deploy five ships of 3,600-4,500 TEUs, the same as the original CPX service before the split. OOCL will provide two ships and Yang Ming, three ships.
The port rotation is: Shanghai, Ningbo, Shekou, Singapore, Karachi, Pipavav, Mumbai-Nhava Sheva, Penang, Singapore, Hong Kong and back to Shanghai.
