Yang Ming, OOCL to combine China-India Service

Yang Ming and OOCL plan to merge their two China-India-Pakistan services (CPX and CIS 2) into a single loop called CPX, according to Alphaliner.

The move comes only four months after they split their original CPX loop into two loops.
The two carriers had split their joint loop in anticipation of higher volumes, adding a weekly capacity of about 2,750 20-foot equivalent units to the trade.

The newly combined CPX service will deploy five ships of 3,600-4,500 TEUs, the same as the original CPX service before the split. OOCL will provide two ships and Yang Ming, three ships.

The port rotation is: Shanghai, Ningbo, Shekou, Singapore, Karachi, Pipavav, Mumbai-Nhava Sheva, Penang, Singapore, Hong Kong and back to Shanghai.
