Pelindo II also signed an IDR11trn ($1.29bn) loan with PT Bank Mandiri to finance the first phase of its North Kalibaru Port project.
The North Kalibaru Port project is expected to cost IDR20trn and will add up to 6.5 million teu of cargo capacity to the existing Tanjung Priok Port, which has a five million teu capacity.
Construction of the North Kalibaru facility is expected to be completed in 2017.
The port operator will also build a IDR1trn port in Sorong, Papua, in which Pelindo II will act as the consortium's leader and contribute 30% of the project's total investment.
The project will be tendered later this year and construction is expected to start in 2012.
