Shandong top 3 ports see throughput increase in H1

The three largest ports in eastern China's Shandong province, Qingdao, Rizhao and Yantai, all posted more than a 10-percent increase in their throughputs during the period from January to June, Xinhua reports.

Cargo traffic at Qingdao port climbed 12.9% to 194 million tonnes. Rizhao port handled 131 million tonnes of cargo, up 15.7%. Yantai port saw a fast growth of 17.6% to 89.19 million tonnes thanks to the launch of new African route.
