Moscow River Shipping Company (MRSC) and Shipyard “Lotus” on July 26, 2011 signed a contract worth over RUB 1 billion for two river-sea going tankers of Project RST 25, the shipping company said.
The vessels were ordered by Gaztekhleasing and will be handed over to Moscow Shipping under the lease agreement.
The construction of tankers was underway at the time the contract was signed. The launching of both vessels is scheduled for late 2012.
At the end of last year Moscow Shipping placed an order for three tankers of the same class at Nobel Bros Shipyard based in Rybinsk, Yaroslavl Region (under the leasing scheme with Gaztekhleasing).

Astrakhan-based Lotus Shipyard specializes in the construction of modules for fixed offshore drilling platforms.
