AP Moller-Maersk Group's feeder service arm MCC Transport will launch a new service Shanghai 1 on 11 September, Seatrade Asia online reports. The 28-day roundtrip rotation service offers a direct link between Shanghai (Waigaoqiao) and Chittagong, and connects to other Southeast Asian countries through its transhipment hub of Tanjung Pelepas.
The MCC Dhaka is expected to depart Shanghai on 11 September. The new direct service from Shanghai to Chittagong will take a transit time of 13 days.
