Net income of JSC Freight One according to Russian Accounting Standards (RAS) in the first half of 2011 increased as much as 2.7 times compared with the same period of 2010, to RUB 10 254 993 000, the company said.
Revenue surged by 37.6 percent to RUB 58 813 232 000. Operating profit margin of the company during the reporting period was 21.88 percent versus 13.68 percent a year earlier.
JSC Freight One is a leading rail operator in Russia. The Freight One was formed in 2007 by state-owned rail monopoly Russian Railways (RZD) that holds a 100 percent stake in the company. Freight One owns and operates more than 200 000 units of rolling stock, which account for 22% of Russia’s rail car fleet. In 2010, the rail operator carried 302.3 million tons of different cargoes.
