United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) is planning to dissolve its regional centers of shipbuilding and ship repair, the Corp. said.
USC’ spokesperson Alexei Kravchenko said Northern and Western Centers will be closed before the end of 2011, the Far East - in the first quarter of 2012.
The Corp has abandoned its plans for the South Centre because such a management structure will delay decision-making in the corporation because of excessive bureaucratic procedures, Mr. Kravchenko said.
The USC management reform has been supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.
