Thirteen international services were inaugurated at Ningbo's Chuanshan port area during the first six months of this year.
These new lines have brought an additional 240,000 TEU to the port in the first half of year, according to Xinhua.
Five of the new routes are to US west coast, two to Latin America, two to the Mediterranean, two to south east Asia, one to Europe and one to West Africa. A total of 204 ships called at the port area in this period.
As of the end of June, Chuanshan port area had been serving 62 lines, amounting to 2,021 sailings has called at the port area, while its throughput came to 2.84 million TEU. The port area expects to see greater positive effect of these new services in the latter half of year.
