Admiralty Shipyards Board taps Alexander Buzakov acting CEO

Alexander Buzakov replaced Mikhail Alexandrov as acting chief executive officer of Admiralty Shipyards, the shipbuilding company told PortNews.

Former CEO Mikhail Alexandrov, appointed by the Board of Directors in February 2011, resigned from his post.

Admiralty Shipyards JSC (Admiralteysky Verfy) is the oldest Russian shipbuilder, founded back in 1704. The company is part of Western Center of Shipbuilding owned by United Shipbuilding Corporation.  Admiralty Shipyards specializes in the design, construction and upgrade of civil vessels and warships for the Russian Navy. To date, the Company has built more than 300 submarines (including 41 nuclear-powered subs), 68 deep and underwater vessels.
