UCLH’s ITC posts a 37 percent gain in traffic volumes

Member of UCL Holding LLC Independent Transport Company (NTC) announced it had transported 53.2 million tons of cargo in January-September 2011, a 37 percent surge over the same period of last year, UCLH’s press release said.
 
Of the total volume 72.5% (38.6 million tons, +10% y-o-y) were cargoes of NTC’s major customer - OJSC NLMK.


In the reporting period, at least 84 percent of the nine-month freight volume was carried by the Company’s own rolling stock (44.7 million tons), 16 percent - by leased cars.

NTC owns and operates 27,000 rail cars, including 26,000 - gondolas. As of October 1, 2011 the company operates 6.2 percent of the county’s gondola fleet (as of October 1, 2010 - 2.1%).
