Port Vanino posts net income of RUB 193.4 m, a double growth
Net income of Vanino Commercial Sea Port (Port Vanino) for the first 9 months of 2011 rose according to Russian Accounting Standards (RAS) by more than twofold from the same period a year before, to RUB 193,400,000, the company's financial statement said.
Revenues of the company increased by 12.7 percent versus last year’s figure, to 1 billion 169 million rubles.
JSC Vanino Commercial Sea Port (Port Vanino) is the major operator of Port of Vanino (Khabarovsk Territory). The port is a gateway for trade flows between Russia and Japan, South Korea, China, Australia, USA and other countries of Asia Pacific Region. Vanino also handles imports shipped to the northern regions of Russia. The port operates the waterfront of about 2.5-km with three specialized cargo handling facilities. In 2010, Port Vanino handled about 6 million tons of different cargoes, a 0.2 percent gain year-over-year.
