Scottish builder Macduff Shipyards said today they have signed a contract with Good Design LLP to build a 19.05m steel twin rig trawler.The new vessel will replace "Good Design" BF151, which will be sold.Based on the "Uberous" design, recently completed by the yard, this latest project will incorporate some new ideas and innovations, including the yard's design of fish handling systems and deck machinery.The hull will be subcontracted to Richards Dry Dock and Engineering in Great Yarmouth who will assemble it from a kit provided by Macduff.The main and auxiliary engines will be Mitsubishi, supplied by Macduff Diesels Limited.Agent for the vessel will be Westward Fishing Co, Fraserburgh.
