Austral Asia Line (AAL - an affiliate to Schöller Holdings offering breakbulk, project cargo and container services) has organized a NE Asia-West Australia loop completing its Asia-Australia coverage. The new loop offers approximately monthly sailings between Japan, Korea, Shanghai and the West Australian port of Fremantle. The ships come back to NE Asia via Melbourne and Kaohsiung, thus offering additional sailings on this sector, on top of the well established East Asia-East Australia service . Two ships are assigned to the new loop, both controlled by Schöller, the 30,000 tdw / 1,842 teu CAPE DARBY and the 17,500 tdw / 965 teu CAPE HASTINGS. AAL operates also a SE Asia-Australia loop and serves Papua New Guinea as well through transhipment.
