Zolotoy Rog bridge construction nears completion

The bridge across Zolotoy Rog Bay (Golden Horn Bay) will be commissioned and open for traffic by July 1, 2012, the Primorsky Territory Administration said.

The new highway Novy village – De Fries Peninsula- Sedanka - Bay Patroclus is ready by 90%. It will be open for residents of Vladivostok on June 15.

The construction of a bridge across Zolotoy Rog Bay is a major project to modernize the transport infrastructure of Vladivostok. The main span of the suspension bridge is 737 meters. The bridge is believed to help remove traffic jams and link the downtown with Pervomaisky district on the Churkin peninsula. The bridge project is being implemented for the 2012 APEC Summit in line with the program "Development of Vladivostok as a center for international cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region."
