Chongqing Lianglu/Cuntan Bonded Port posts results for its first year of operation

China's first inland bonded port, the Chongqing Lianglu/Cuntan Bonded Port, supervised imports and exports of US$12.74 billion during its first year of operation ended on February 28, reported Xinhua.

According to Chongqing Customs, altogether 45 enterprises have registered in the bonded port, and three bonded processing enterprises have brought in more than 120 supporting enterprises from outside of the port area.

Ma Changming, director of the Lianglu/Cuntan Bonded Port Customs, said the port is playing its functions in port logistics, bonded logistic, bonded processing and commodity exhibition functions, and the imports and exports containers supervised by the Customs surged 137 percent year on year in January.

Lianglu/Cuntan Bonded Port is striving to help Chongqing to become the world biggest computer base, and it has exported over one million sets of computers since the beginning of this year, valued at about $37 million.
