Ukraine and Russia have agreed to increase the transfer of oil through the Odessa-Brody pipeline to 9m tones, RBC reports. This agreement was reached as a result of negotiations between Ukrainian Fuel and Energy Minister Yury Boyko and Transneft President Semyon Vainshtock in Moscow today. The companies also agreed to boost oil transfer through the Druzhba and Pridneprovsky pipelines. Transfer of oil through the Odessa-Brody pipeline is expected to reach 4m tonnes in 2006. Additional deliveries in 2007 are projected to be 5m tonnes.
