STX OSV secured contracts worth some NOK1.2bn ($210.84m) for the construction of two multi-functional deepwater anchor handling/offshore service vessels for Farstad Shipping, Seatrade Asia online reports. Deliveries are scheduled from STX OSV Langsten in Norway in the first quarter of 2014. The hulls of the vessels will be delivered from STX OSV Tulcea in Romania.
STX OSV has in the past delivered four similar vessels to Farstad Shipping, and has two under construction for the Oslo-listed shipping firm prior to the new contracts.
