SCI announces the rationalisation of their India Sub Continent - Europe (ISE) Service

The Shipping Corporation of India limited, announces the rationalisation of their india sub continent - europe (ise) service and india sub continent - med (i-med) services.
In order to serve our customers with the good service that everyone has come to expect of the sci, sci has decided to rationalize the india sub continent europe (ise) service and the india sub continent- med (imed) service.
Both the services will be merged, in the rationalised service and the vessels capacity will be upgraded to 6500 teu ships. the new port rotation of the service will be :
Colombo / Nhava Sheva / Mundra / Salalah/ Gioia Tauro / Felixstowe / Hamburg / Antwerp / Gioia Tauro / Colombo.
Gioia Tauro is being included in the ports of call both on the inbound and outbound leg, to give extensive coverage to the med ports with shorter transit time.
The rationalised service will commence from 7th April, 2012 with SCI Chennai as the first vessel from Colombo.
SCI will continue its commitment to the indian trade by providing the best services at all times.
