Keppel Shipyard bags FPSO works

Keppel Shipyard secured floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) upgrading projects from SBM Offshore and Bumi Armada. The combined value of the two projects is S$170m ($135m), Seatrade Asia online reports. The project from SBM Offshore is to refurbish and upgrade an existing FPSO vessel. The scope of work comprises life extension, refurbishment and upgrading of existing topside modules and turret mooring system as well as the installation and integration of new topside modules. Work on this FPSO unit is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2013.

Keppel Shipyard's second project for Bumi Armada is to modify and upgrade its FPSO. The work includes refurbishment and life extension works as well as installation and integration of topside modules. This project is scheduled to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2013.
