OOCL adds LA, Shanghai calls in Trans-Pacific trade
Orient Overseas Container Line will add eastbound calls in Los Angeles and Shanghai to its Pacific Atlantic Express service beginning with the May 9 sailing from Yantian, China. The Hong Kong-based ocean carrier also will cancel eastbound port calls in Hong Kong and Shekou, China on that service, the Journal of Commerce reported.
The new eastbound port rotation will be: Kaohsiung, Taiwan; Yantian; Shanghai (Yangshan); Kobe, Nagoya and Tokyo, Japan; Seattle; Oakland; Los Angeles; Manzanillo, Panama; Savannah; Norfolk; New York-New Jersey and Halifax.
The Seattle call will shift to Tacoma on July 1.
Effective this week, the trans-Pacific westbound port rotation is Halifax, New York-New Jersey, Norfolk, Savannah, Manzanillo, Los Angeles, Oakland, Yokohama, Kobe, Kaohsiung, Yantian, Shanghai and Nagoya.
