EMAS AMC achieves first successful riser replacement for Statoil

EMAS AMC has successfully completed the first of several riser replacements for Statoil on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, the Company press release said.

The scope of the riser replacement on Snorre B and the other floating platforms comprised by the contract includes riser recovery and installation work. In offshore operations, EMAS AMC has utilised the state-of-the-art construction vessel AMC Connector.

We are looking forward to successfully completing the work on the rest of the floating platforms,” says Svein Haug, Regional Head for EMAS AMC Europe and Africa.

Engineering and planning commenced in January 2012, while the offshore operations on Snorre B took place in March 2012.
