In 2011-2030 Ust-Luga Company plans to create 17,200 new jobs after completion and commissioning of all facilities at Commercial Sea Port of Ust-Luga and the surrounding area.
Currently, the company's workforce is 3,000 people (average pay rate: $1,354 a month), the Ust-Luga Co. CEO Maxim Shirokov said Thursday.
Mr. Shirokov said that in 2011 Ust-Luga Company conducted two special studies on problems of recruitment of employees.
Port of Ust-Luga is located quite close to Russia’s border with the EU. The harbor waters depth (16 m) make Ust-Luga the only Russian port on the Baltic Sea capable of accommodating 75,000dwt bulkers and 120,000dwt tankers. Today, the port has six fully operating terminals (nine more to be commissioned soon).
JSC Ust-Luga Company was founded in 1992 for the construction of the port of Ust-Luga with capacity of 180 million tonnes of cargo a year.
