Hanjin Shipping to expand service network

Hanjin Shipping announced on Thursday that it is expanding its service network in the East Mediterranean Sea area by participating in the existing ABX (Asia-Black Sea Express) and TLS (Turkey-Levant Service) services, Seatrade Asia online reports. Hanjin Shipping will participate in the ABX service from middle of May and the TLS service from 25 April.

ABX is currently operated by China Shipping, K Line, PIL, Wan Hai and Yang Ming, covering North China, South West Asia and the Black Sea area with eight of 4,000-4,250 teu ships offering a 26-day transit from Shanghai to Constanza.

As for TLS, Hanjin Shipping will deploy a third vessel into the service, currently operated by Arkas Line and Turkon Line, each partner putting one of 2,000-3,000 teu ship.

Meanwhile, in prior to these lanes, Hanjin Shipping launched ADN (Adriatic) service in early April to build its presence in the area.
