China’s Qingshan Shipyard held an official christening and acceptance ceremony for the bulk carrier FESCO Stavropol, the transportation group said. This is fourth vessel, which closes the current FESCO’s newbuilds orderbook at the Chinese shipyard.
The M/V FESCO Stavropol general characteristics:
DWT – 57,000 mt;
LOA – 913 meters;
Beam – 32.26 meters;
Depth – 18 meters
Draft – 12.80 meters
Five cargo holds capacity – 71,500 cbm
The ship is equipped with four cranes, each of lifting capacity of 30,000 tons.
After the vessel acceptance the M/V FESCO Stavropol laden with general cargo will make its maiden voyage from a port in South Korea to the United Arab Emirates.
The series lead vessel named FESCO Saratov was commissioned in July, 2011. Now the bulker carries coal cargo from Mozambique to the ports of India. The second ship – M/V FESCO Simferopol was put into service in November last year, the third – M/V FESCO Smolensk - in January this year.
