Russia has the world's highest price for the creation of transportation infrastructure and it greatly affects the payback period of port facilities, stated interim CEO of JSC "NCSP" Rado Antolovic on the sidelines of the TransRussia Expo hosted in Moscow.
Deputy CEO of Ust-Luga Company Alexander Goloviznin added that due to the huge costs the Russian ports seek to get the maximum possible loads (which accounts for 80% of total capacity). In many respects the high cost of construction in Russia is attributed to outdated building specifications and regulations, Golovizin said.
