Several stockholders of Severnaya Verf Shipyard (Moscow-based AgroPromSoyuz LLC) and two individuals filed claims with the Arbitration Court of Appeal of Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad region, the shipbuilding company said.
The shareholders asked the court to nullify the decision of the Extraordinary General Meeting of shareholders held on April 4 by United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC), which is one of the contenders for Severnaya Verf.
The lawsuit states that the meeting, which results became a ground for USC further actions, was conducted with most blatant violation of many corporate procedures. USC did not inform the shareholders on holding the meeting, disabling them to participate in this meeting and to vote, thus violating their rights. Besides, the meeting was held without the registar, performing the function of the counting committee.
