Nakhodka holds keel-laying ceremony for second tanker of 0021 project
An official keel-laying ceremony for the 3100dwt tanker of Project 00211 was held on May 16, in Nakhodka. The construction of the tanker is part of the program for building a fleet for Russian oil company Rosneft, the company said. JSC Nakhodka Marine Partners has been selected as the contractor for Far East Center of Shipbuilding Ship Repair (FESSC, member of United Shipbuilding Corporation, USC) for the tanker’s hull construction.
The new vessel is a modern, powerful tanker of ice-class Arc4 classed to Russian Maritime Register of Shipping and can be operated year-round in the Far East.
The tanker main characteristics: length overall - 88,9 m, beam - 13,6 m, draft - 5.4 m. The vessel features the state-of-the-art operating and maneuvering capabilities. The tanker was designed for transportation of over 3,000 tons of oil products, simultaneously loading / unloading of four different types of petroleum products. The tanker crew - 15.
JSC Rosnefteflot will supervise the construction and after the tanker delivery to the owner, which is scheduled for late 2013 will operate the vessel in the Far East.
Rosnefteflot has been engaged in newbuilds orders and supervising construction, both in the interest of Rosneft, and for other companies. For the past 14 years, under the supervision of Rosnefteflot the Russian and foreign shipyards have built 25 vessels for various purposes. Today, Rosnefteflot has in operation 27 vessels of various classes. In 2011, the company implemented the projects for commissioned new bunkering tankers in the ports of Murmansk and Tuapse.
