Hyundai resumes production at China Plant 1 after fire
Hyundai Motor Co. said Monday it has resumed operations at its China Plant 1, just 17 days after the plant's painting facilities caught fire, Yonhap reports.
Operations normalized Saturday to roll out 1,200 vehicles, a company spokesman said, adding employees reported to work for Saturday night shifts and continued work Sunday to compensate for the production losses sustained since fire broke out at the plant on May 8.
