New tanker “PRISCO Alexandra”, which first in the world has notation Winterization, went to maiden voyage. She was built for PRISCO group on STX Shipbuilding, Jinhae, Korea.
All systems, equipment and compartments of new tanker are under requirements for vessels, which work in temperature -250С. Winterization D -25 symbol, assigned by Lloyd’s Register, shows it. Double hull of the vessel provides ecological safety of the 1 A ice reinforcement tanker. With 183 meters length and 32 meters width “PRISCO Alexandra” deadweight is 51 thousand tons. Chemical class IMO-2 and full painted cargo tanks will allow tanker to transport not only oil and oiling products, but chemical and alimentary bulk cargo also.
