First Container Terminal (FCT CJSC, Big Port of St. Petersburg) plans to handle 1.3 mln TEU in 2009, PortNews IAA reporter learnt from Andrei Bogdanov, FCT Commercial Director. “It is difficult to forecast today and, probably, we will have to review our plans in the middle of 2009,” Mr. Bogdanov said. However he noted the terminal is to handle at least 1.1 TEU, the level of 2008.

Mr. Bogdanov also reminded FCT maximal capacity is 1.6 mln TEU. It is to be reached after the terminal in Shushary (St. Petersburg) is put into operation.  First Container Terminal is a part of National Container Company LLC.
