Beijing and Shanghai offers direct customs clearance

Customs in Beijing and Shanghai will implement a way of declaring and clearance of goods at origin cutting down the red tape to an hour, reports Logistics Week.
Given the new customs service, Shanghai enterprises can take over goods or export goods at Beijing customs after finishing clearance formalities at Shanghai customs and vice a versa.
The move comes as the economic ties between the two cities have been tightened and their logistics exchanges have been enhanced over the years. Customs in the two cities registered 1,684 tonnes of transports cargo in the first 10 months. The new service is provided to further strengthen and boost the logistics development in the two cities.
